Clifton Heights is a fictional town nestled in the Adirondacks, Upstate New York. A odd little place touched by the supernatural, it's the setting for my Creative Writing Masters Thesis at Binghamton University.

My thesis, a collection of short stories unified by a story-arc, (which I'm still working on), takes place in this small, quaint, spooky little town. The stories are told from different perspectives of folks living in Clifton Heights, or people touched by Clifton Heights, in however subtle ways.

Think Dubliners crossed with The Brother's Grimm. Think "Our Town, USA" - which just happens to sit over a Hellmouth, like Sunnydale in Buffy The Vampire Slayer. While it's not exactly dangerous, it's not completely safe either. One thing's for certain: it's never boring.

Several stories featuring this small little town have already made their way into print or are making their way. Eventually - should success ever come knocking - all these tales will be featured here, for free, on Clifton Height's own little Internet lexicon.

Hopefully, within a year, I'll finish my thesis, receive approval from BU, and find a publisher for it. At the moment, a few small presses have shown interest, and hey - that's good enough for me. As long as the collection is high enough quality for a reputable publisher to pick it up, I'll feel like I've done something worthwhile.
