I'm a born again Christian. Saved by the blood of Christ, whose Grace paid the debt for my sins. All I've done is nothing compared to His love, and I owe everything to Him because of it. Everything I've been blessed with: a wonderful wife and fabulous kids, great job, and some small glimmerings of writing success, come at His pleasure, not by anything I've done or achieved.

And yet...I don't write Christian fiction.

Hmm. How is that?I enjoy reading ALL sorts of fiction, which certainly includes - but is not exclusive too - Christian fiction. I have no problem writing nonfiction articles and pieces about my faith. However, when it comes to writing fiction, I just don't do it. Same thing with my poetry.Does my faith influence my writing? Of course. Do I like to play with spiritual themes? Sure - in fact, you'll find I tend to be particularly obsessed with the concepts of destiny, Providence, and personal choice.

However, I feel no obligation to end my stories in any predetermined ways. One could say my stories end themselves, and not I. Right now, I'm just not writing Christian fiction. Will I ever? I don't know. Probably. Maybe when I feel like I can write Christian fiction well enough for it to be worth submitting somewhere, then maybe. I just love writing and creating, and am having a ball with that, at the moment. So there it is. Enjoy some of my stories. Or not. Free will, and all that.

Take care, and walk light.
